Sabroso Shot #1 - Astronaut.io

Astronaut.io was my inspiration for starting the Sabroso shot. It’s honestly one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen online.

I think part of its beauty is in its simplicity. It’s an incredibly straightforward idea, which makes me think ‘why didn’t I think of that’. The site plays you videos from YouTube that have never been seen by anyone, but only shows you three seconds of the video before cutting to the next one.

A fleeting glimpse into someone else's life. It’s an absolutely beautiful project.

The first time I saw this I spent 45 minutes on it. I’ve really never seen anything like it. It’s a truly unique experience, and it makes you feel honoured to get to see these videos that people have made and shared but nobody else has ever seen.

I don’t believe this was a marketing project, but it’s worth noting that its innovation achieved links from 298 unique domains, and countless thousands of social shares.
